Frequently asked questions

Can I get ringworm from my pet?
Yes. Cats and dogs are common sources of *Microsporum canis*, which causes tinea corporis and tinea capitis in humans. If multiple family members are affected, the pet should be evaluated and treated by a veterinarian.
